I visited this place before and after a long time i came back for another visit. Things changed, a bit better to keep up with the demand. Good place to chill out, cozy inside and relaxing environment outside overlooking the pond. It's peaceful and enjoyable at the same time.
The location by the Mill Pond is excellent but the restaurant looks dated and worn. The menu had a good selection of dinner options and our family group of 5 adults,1 toddler and an infant enjoyed our dinner. Unfortunately the service was poor.Items:1. We had 3 orders of Cajun Jambalaya. One came without one of the sides.2. Our toddler was offered a a colour-in place mat but no crayons.3. We had to request a high chair/booster seat.4. Our request for a plastic tumbler for the toddler was not attended to promptly. She drank her milk from a glass tumbler5. We were automatically charged a large group service tip for our family of 5 adults, a toddler and an infant. This was an mandated charge for what in our eyes was poor service.
We were a party of eight, 4 kids and adults. We sat on the patio over the water, it was nice and relaxing. We had Tyler as our server, did we luck out! She was VERY personable, efficient and attentive - excellent server! The food was excellent, one of the adults had heard about the ribs and ordered them and he said they were amazing. My wife had the sesame thai chicken salad, and loved it. I had an issue with my Blue Mountain nachos and Tyler addressed it immediately with no fuss and an apology. She went out of her way to make sure that our meal was an enjoyable experience. I asked to speak with the manager, to express my satisfaction with our server/meal. After chatting with Brandon, I can understand why the staff are so nice! He was very personable. As I told, him, she's a gem and if I owned a business there, I'd try and STEAL her from him! Very enjoyable, next time we stay there, we'll be back to eat. HOPEFULLY on all you can eat perogies night! lol
Average food and drinks. In nice weather the patio out back is great to sit out and watch the paddle boats go by on the pond. Food is okay. Pub type grub and a bit on the expensive side but I found the servers to be very helpful and accommodating. Inside is dark wood so not the best experience for a nice summer day. Would be warm and cozy in the winter though. The toilet in the cubicle in the men's washroom was leaking and the floor was wet both times I was here. Was here twice in August 2017.
