The Courthouse Cafe - Collingwood

We only had a coffee snack, but what's not to love? This restaurant/café is located in a historical building and is definitely one of the most beautiful ones we visited in New Zealand. The service was excellent, and the coffee with soy milk was delicious. We also enjoyed the raw energy slice. One thing we appreciated is that they do not offer paper cups for coffee to go; instead, you can borrow metal ones. This review has been updated from a previous visit in November 2022.

The best cafe in Golden Bay is Courthouse Cafe. The food is always top-notch, and the coffee is great. The cafe also has a room with a selection of retro and Kiwiana antiques and books, making it a must-visit destination in Golden Bay. Located 26 scenic kilometers from Takaka, it is definitely worth the trip.

I stopped by the restaurant for a quick meal and saw they had a burrito on the menu. As a fan of Mexican food, I decided to give it a try and I was not let down. It was one of the best burritos I have had in Nelson, even compared to Mexican restaurants. The chai lattes were delicious as well - I couldn't resist having a second one!
