I tried their fries today as a big fan of potatoes. The fries were amazing, almost tasting just like potatoes. The prices were cheap and the service was fast.
The best in Wivenhoe, this restaurant is worth the ten-minute wait for the best fish and chips in the area. The food is freshly cooked and tastes fantastic. I can't wait to come back to Wivenhoe just for this!
Some of the chips were boiled and all were soggy on the outside but the fish parts (a haddock and a cable) were super fresh and the teig was excellent. the personal was friendly. if they had nailed the chips, this would have been one of the best fish sauces we had in the south-east England!
Friendly staff, good chips, fish was really good, perhaps a little greasy.
