The Shepherd Langham - Colchester

The quality of the ingredients was not great. in particular the lamb was anemic. I'd rather spend more on better roast meat.

Had a nice lunch, 2 x fish and chips, and 1 x gammon, egg chips, large portions, look forward to again soon.

Honestly was lovely, staff was so efficient and friendly. Food was delicious (had the Sunday lunch)

Just Had Lunch Very Over Priced Rating Out of Ten I give this a Two. Other Restaurants or Pubs that do Sunday Lunch don’t Charge Extra for Gravy or Veg. Extra Meat Yes but that’s ok. The miscellaneous part of the Receipt is Desert Extra Yorkshire Pudding. Also I asked for a few carrots a few peas and I got a massive spoonful of each the carrots I could of lost a tooth. Cauliflower with cheese wasn’t that great either would of been nice with some cheese sauce

This must have changed hands since we last visited as the food was not what we expected. The website still shows as the high quality bistro type food rather than the standard pub grub that it now serves. I’m sure the food tastes great but we were really disappointed as it was not what we expected
