Jhaal - Colchester

Our annual visit (as we live abroad) to Jhaal, along with our in-laws and friends, and it was as excellent as ever. Sha looked after us and we saw a new face in Juned who was eager to please. The service was friendly yet professional. The food delicious and good value. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant, thanks to Sha and Juned's great service. The food was delicious, especially the chicken tikka biryani. I highly recommend it.

I will not be coming back to this restaurant. The service inside was very slow when my group visited. The food took a long time to arrive and our drink orders were also delayed. It seems like this restaurant needs new management as the service was very unprofessional and lacking in customer service. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience.

This restaurant is a disaster. Firstly, it doesn't seem fully prepared to serve customers - it's very unprofessional. My wife booked a table here two weeks ago on a recommendation for a Friday night, but all of our guests were extremely disappointed with the service. There was a lack of staff on the floor, and we had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When we finally placed our food order, the waiter was unable to provide any information about the dishes and had to call for help. The person who came to assist seemed to be the boss, but he also had no clue what we were looking for. To top it off, my wife's curry was completely wrong and she had a terrible experience. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
