Bill's Restaurant Bar Colchester

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The service was attentive, the food was prepared quickly and freshly, and everything was delicious. I will definitely be returning!

The staff was pleasant, and the ambiance was fantastic. The food was outstanding.

The staff was incredibly helpful when my daughter and I arrived with her wheelchair (which I hadn't mentioned when making the reservation). They opened a door to provide easy access for her, and the accessible restroom was also easy for her to reach.

The personal is wonderful - always makes it a very pleasant evening. great eating, nice setting and good value! dog-friendly!

We have always enjoyed eating at Bills with the ability to have a reasonable choice from the menu. Sadly my colleague, like many many people these days,has a food intolerance to garlic and many hot spices. Looking at the menu the only meal that was a sensible choice was the Steak and chips which we both chose. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the steak was cooked to our liking and we knew there would be no unfortunate after effects. I cannot fault the service we were given, we actually spoke to the manager who fully understood our food intolerance problem as she too has a garlic intolerance. We would like to return but feel maybe some of the menu could include a few choices that are garlic free. Another option maybe to have the opportunity not to have the main item of the meal (be it fish or meat) cooked in the accompanying garlic/ very spicy sauces but have a flavoursome one which would satisfy those with food allergies and intolerances. I do hope this review gives some thought for those who enjoy eating out but are sometimes limited to what is on offer.
