The Three Chimneys - Colbost

I had a reservation with friends on Thursday evening and flew in from Belfast specifically for the occasion. However, when we arrived, the pub was closed. There was no phone call, no notification—nothing. It was completely unacceptable. Others who had also made reservations showed up as well and were met with the same situation, with no communication from the establishment.

I had an excellent experience with wonderful staff and high-quality food.

I had an absolutely amazing lunch; it was the best I’ve had in a long time. The food was cooked to perfection, and it genuinely made me smile all afternoon!

It's been a while since my last post because I spent five weeks indulging in food across Europe. Let me tell you, it's going to take me a few months to work off those holiday pounds, but it was absolutely worth it! I won't bore you with details about every place I visited in Europe (though you can check out @foodiemelbourne on Instagram to see all the fantastic food I experienced). However, I couldn't resist sharing my amazing dining experience at Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.

We've wanted to visit the Isle of Skye for some time now, hoping for a weekend filled with hiking and stunning views. My husband knows that the best way to win me over for a trip is with excellent food, so the first step was to check if Three Chimneys could accommodate us for dinner. Once we secured that, we booked hotels, transportation, and handled all the other details. The setting was lovely, and while some of the dishes were very good, others didn't quite impress us as much. Still, it was definitely worth the visit.
