Fusion Restaurant - Colac

We visited with friends as the restaurant was recommended, but we were disappointed with the food 3 of us had lamb and we waited for a considerable time and once it arrived the presentation was good but the meat was cold and not a lot of veges came with it, also the wine was expensive, considering a good average bottle can be brought for well under 20 dollars, we have traveled a lot and the food presented was not up to the standard as the restaurant was not cheap

Many country restaurants serve food similar to a pub dish. Not here. This is seriously, seriously delicious food.A one man kitchen, with two ladies serving a full house, - yet everything was done timely and with good humour. Limited menu with 4 entrees, 5 mains and 4 desserts, but all sounded so good that there was still some thought required to choose.For the record we had Otway Pork with Chili caramel ($16.50), alongside and apple and fennel slaw scallops ($17.50) in a half shell as entree, Eye fillet steak on crunchy potato Rosti ($42), and local lamb shoulder done with blueberry and balsamic ($35), finishing with Quince, fig honeycomb and chocolate mousse, beside Lime curd and coconut friand with a pistachio praline (both around $14). Massive wine list too.Enjoyed thoroughly.Fusion will not open for dinner service from 1st July 2017. Breakfasts and lunches only. Believed that the owner will do catering instead. Pity.

We went to the restaurant with our friends who live in Colac.the service is friendly and the food -wow- is something else altogether. We selected for entre the Scallops, Sardines and pork dumplings. They were all excellent, very generous serves and well plated and great balance of flavours For the main course we had the lamb shoulder and accompaniments. Again excellent blend of flavours and which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The wine list is very good comprehensive and a good selection of regional wine and not marked and overpriced.Excellent Duncan and the next time we visit with our friends we will come again.

A restaurant we visited by chance. He seemed to have the most people in the neighborhood and he looked stylish. Upon entering, the hostess was friendly. She ate very well.

My self and partner came for diner, not knowing what to expect. Well all expectations was met food was amazing really enjoyed it would definitely be back.
