Boteko - Coimbra

For the main course we had the posta de alcatra (if they love meat, they do one please and try it! . it was amazing! perfect cooked as desired and so tasteful! for the sobremesa we had the brownie de chocolate, which should be called the god 's pleasure or something because the name brownie de chocolate 't do it justness. we also had a bottle of a large red wine from douro 's. I would also like to thank ricardo for being such a friendly and amazing host. this was the perfect place to finish our stay in coimbra. so memorable. P.S I'm sorry I don't have pictures, we were too busy enjoying our food!

We visited this beautiful restaurant last week, with my daughter who visited from Britain. eating was fantastic, good value for money, with brilliant, attentive service. we were very surprised when the boss/owner has taken the effort to present us and offered us a selection at desserts, we enjoyed all beautiful cheesecakes, many thanks, we will be back soon, and have many friends about this beautiful restaurant x

This is the first place in my 1 week in Portugal that there was not a separate price or menu for locals vs. tourists. What a hidden gem. I ordered the prato do dia (prix fix menu lunch special with soup, drink coffee included). Not only was the food fabulous; tasty with generous portions what was advertised was what was priced. Service was amazing. Will try to go back while visiting in Coimbra. There were a lot of locals at the restaurant which is always a great sign. I can’t say enough to express how delighted we were to find this restaurant. They took us without a reservation, the service was attentive, the food was outstanding, and the price, very reasonable. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal.
