Joes Tavern - Cohoes

Don't be fooled by the inconvenient appearance. The motto is a small place; great taste, and it is certainly apropos. The menu is extensive, but make sure you find out what the peculiarities are. If in doubt, you have the meat. Seriously. The staff is friendly, and the owner / chef is always in the kitchen or walk around the dining room. You go out their way to feel welcome and make sure you enjoy yourself. And seriously, try the meat.

My Aunt passed away on Saturday morning, I reached out to Mike at Joe’s Tavern on Saturday night in the middle of his dinner service and he responded immediately. We asked for a pretty big catering service on short notice. Not only did they accomplish the task, they knocked it out of the park!! The food was great, their service was great and the compassion and professionalism they showed towards my family was phenomenal!! I highly recommend everyone choose Joe’s Tavern!

The lemon pepper chicken and shrimp is one of the best meals I've had in the area. It's always a generous portion and It's so delicious that I find myself craving it every time I hear someone mention Joe's. I wish they delivered, but it's probably better that they don't because I think I'd order 3 times a week.

Joes is the quintessential upstate NY tavern where the ambiance and surrounding neighborhood hide a culinary gem.... The food here is always great, not 'those chicken tenders were delicious ' great, more like, 'the reduction in that bruschetta was the best I 've ever had and I 've eaten in some of the best restaurants in NYC, Vegas and SanFrancisco ' great. The prices are in the $16-$25 range for entrees, and worth every penny. Don 't miss out on a dinner at joes, never been disappointed
