Ostaia Da Ruma - COGOLETO

We stumbled upon the Da Ruma on the Italian May Day holiday, when most places were closed!! And what a find! It's very simple, no airs and graces, but the food was quite delicious!! We both had pasta with vegetables as simple as it gets! but it was really great! Our server was the son of the owner and he couldn't do enough for us! His English was great and he was at great pains to make sure we were happy with everything. It was busy with Italians and not just because of the holiday which is always a good sign. We may have gone in because we couldn't find anywhere else, but believe me, we weren't disappointed one bit!

This simple and honest Osteria gives you a bite of traditional genuine fish cousine of the Mediterranean sea. I had a dinner there and it was really honest, I repeat: good Calamarata, a pasta with calamari as first course than a fish perfectly served. Homemade Tiramisu desert at the end. Familiar place for a stop.
