Le Bistro de Claude - Cognac

Le Bistro de Claude was superb and I can't wait to return again soon. We had the 3 course dinner and a stunning bottle of wine from the Loire Valley which was perfectly recommended by the waiter based on our request for a very light, dry wine. The restaurant had a buzzing feeling and the waiters all very chic and helpful. The staff are all professional and they are all passionate about this Cognac institution. Claude himself was there also which was great, and you can just see how much he loves his restaurant and his customers.We had a delicious melon salade, beautiful limousin beef with pasta and I had fromage while my partner had the cafe gourmand. The coffee was great too. Highly recommended. It was around 115€ for 2 people for 3 courses, wine and coffee. Excellent value for money.

Best restaurant experience of our 10 day trip in France in all aspects. Lively environment with a true bistro feel, delicious food with superb quality at the right price and best of all the staff, they were literally running around to manage the busy dinner hours, however always smiling, keeping track and offering impeccable recommendations and service. Impressive!

We took French friends to this restaurant on their recommendation. I thought the food was nice not brilliant and very, very expensive. I've tasted much better for the money. Completely overpriced and does not meet the hype.

High-end for cognac - everything is delicious, refined.....Map fairly short - so always fresh products. When there's no more, there's no more... which makes you want to come back to taste.
