On presentation to our table my first thought was where 's the spinach . On eating, it disappointed further salty and the chicken tasted like cooked chicken added to the sauce or the whole dish simply reheated, hence dry chicken pieces. Vegetable curry was quite good, not as salty but nice flavours overall in this dish. The entree of paneer pakora was nice and slightly spicy. The garlic naan was flaky and nice but tasted like plain naan. The roti was a bit on the burnt side.
We ordered the vegetarian mixed platter for starters the samosas were melt in your mouth delicious . The chicken korma was cooked to perfection and the prawns Malabar had ample prawns and was on point . The staff were attentive and recommended to try the Indian sweets a sort of fudge it was perfect to finish off the meal .
We were in Coffs looking for a simple but yummy dinner and we found this little gem. They had all the things we were looking for starting with a mixed entree where the chicken tikka was the highlight. For mains we chose butter chicken which was a hit and lamb korma that tasted a little funky but it was a good different. The meal was accompanied by rice and garlic naan. This was all for less than $70 with generous servings the bonus is they allowed BYO.
I have walked past this place a few times, but finally decided to sample the fare. It did not disappoint. Ordered my usual Indian tried and true for comparison. It was delicious, ... really delicious. Freshly prepared, piping hot (heat wise, but you can select your level of spice heat), and plenty. Needed a doggies bag! Prices typical for Coffs Harbour. I cannot rate the staff more highly. Very friendly, and very attentive. It was a joyful, positive, and warming experience. I will be back, and hopefully often. I need to run through the menu, and I am told the home made icecream is exquisite.
Arriving early (5:30), we were greeted by an empty room, not surprising we thought. On offer was a dinner for two, with mixed entree and choice of two curries from a list of 4. We choose popular butter chicken and lamb korma. 15 minutes later and we received 5 types of entree then the two curries, garlic naan and traditional rice. It was beautiful food, with enough food for 4! A great meal at a realistic price. Bravo.
