Héng Xiāng Lǎo Bǐng Jiā

Always my go-to place when buying wife-cake. The bakery has been there for ages and always delivered in quality. Giving this a 5 star rating because of the accumulated experience. However, this time, 10th dec, Ill give it a 4 because of it was too softly baked. Skin did not hold it's crispyness.

After removed ALL those old, lazy, rude and stupid staff. This traditional old cake shop gradually pick up the bright future. I am a loyal and supportive customer but treated rudely by those stupid old staff. I wish the new management improve the service and rebuild the traditional taste.

Passed by the main store of this old famous Chinese traditional cake shop. Tried the thousand year egg puffy cake but fairly disappointed as the outside pastry layer was not puffy, inside filling was quite dry not flavourful.

Known for their Old Wife cake and other Chinese butter, egg type pastries like egg roll cookies. Dont need to come all the way to Yuen Long to buy as there are many satellite stores around town.
