The sushi and sashimi were delicious, but the seafood hotpot, which included only a few slices of beef, was mediocre.
Their signature Grilled Fugu Fish slices for $88 have a chewy texture, with a sweet and fishy flavor that pairs well with the egg yolk sauce. The Grilled Oysters (4 for $98) are fresh and delicious, especially with the cheesy salad dressing that adds a rich and satisfying flavor. The Sake-Steamed Clams for $88 have large, sand-free clam meat in a flavorful sake broth that highlights the fresh taste of the clams. The Assorted Tempura Platter for $78 is visually appealing with a variety of fried items including shrimp, eggplant, mushrooms, okra, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes. The batter is light and crispy, making it a satisfying dish. The Crab Shell Baked Rice for $98 is topped with savory and delicious crab meat, crab roe, and crunchy crab eggs, creating a perfect combination of flavors. The portion size is generous, with each grain of rice distinct and a crispy layer of rice at the bottom of the pot. Mixing it all together creates a satisfying and delicious taste experience, making it a must-try dish at this restaurant.
The newly opened izakaya in Yuen Long is a great place to dine. Upon entering the restaurant, you will see many Japanese lanterns hanging, creating a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious, with comfortable seating. There is a wide variety of food options available, and although my friends don't eat raw food, we still decided to order some sashimi to experience authentic Japanese cuisine. The Sukiyaki beef hot pot is not your typical hot pot, but rather a delicious Sukiyaki beef dish with a sweet and appetizing flavor. The ingredients in the pot are plentiful, including beef, tofu, bell peppers, onions, carrots, and glass noodles. The fish soup udon may seem ordinary at first glance, but the rich and fragrant fish broth combined with the chewy udon noodles make it irresistible. The grilled abalone on hot plate has a fragrant aroma, and the tender texture of the meat enhances its freshness. The scallop sashimi is large and sweet in flavor, offering a satisfying taste experience. The oilfish sashimi is not thinly sliced, but has a perfect thickness that gives it a good texture. It is refreshing and has a rich taste of fish oil.
Nice staff, good food and service!
