Friendly and cozy restaurant with a very vegan friendly menu, all very clearly marked, including more vegan brote than they usually find, and even has a vegan dessert. we had the sweet jalfrezi and tadka dal, with a side mango cutney, and both dishes were excellent. are large and very reasonable. we were at the end of the night there and the chef came out to say hi and was very human and interested in our impressions. in any case a place we will visit again!
Many vegetarian options and some solid vegan options. many things are marked, which is always a big plus.
Small, simple restaurant on the north Fresno/Clovis border. I love that the vegan and vegetarian options are clearly marked on the buffet (that is from 11:30 to 3 M-F the veg options are actually over the meat options. I felt that the quality/taste of eating was average. I had better Indian cuisine at other places in town, but that was not bad. I had basmati rice, curry, sweetsepakora, naan, and a pfeffer and tofu court.
Wow. This is my favorite Indian place now and I don't even live anywhere near it. It was happy's in Ripon, CA for last year because of the sheer amazing taste, but I think these people have happy's beat (met the owner \ cook, really nice last week as he checked on us and made sure everything was good. Ordnete Chicken Tikka Masala extra sharp, some chicken porcelain, rice and garlic naan. Normally, if a curry is really seasoned, some of the amazing flavors that usually fire all taste bud cylinders go on the side some as it can overwhelm a bit. Not hers. It was tasteful from the charts and had all kinds of goodness in the kick. Had a really nicer thicker consistency and solid quality delicate chicken also. Sauces for the Chicken Pakora were also on the point as the garlic naan and rice, nothing special means there, but no problems. Happy's in Ripon, there Pakora is somewhat more robust in size, but taste profiles very similar. This is now on my short list when you visit friends in Clovis. YUM! Also the staff and the owner were very humble, friendly and served our party very nice!
