I had never had bulgur and i'm not a huge eggplant fan usually, but I tried my husband's and it was so good. Really good vegetarian options. I don't live in Fresno/Clovis but if I did I would definitely be eating here on the regular.
Doy Grill is an excellent little place. The prices are reasonable and the portions are immense. Be sure to come hungry for this one. The chickpeas are cooked to absolute perfection as are the white beans. The grain dish is also excellent and is seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend the eggplant moussaka. One of the real draws are the meat kebabs. I recommend pairing one with a pita and the creamy garlic sauce. I also recommend the tzatziki sauce.
We stopped by, and the woman who waited on us was really nice. She explained all the choices available, and told us that a Doy Duo was enough to share. It is. Easily. My 25 year old son and I shared moussaka, a beef kebab, and a chicken kebab. The servings of both were generous, and it came with big portions of rice or bulgar, or both (you should get both) plus well seasoned beans, and salad. We both came away satisfied, and with enough left for a second meal. We WILL be coming back again.
Fantastic Mediterranean, Turkish, Lebanese style cuisine in a quick, casual, pick what you want, setup. The pilaf and beans are fantastic and satisfying. The meats are great. The sauces flavorful. And the serving sizes are huge for what you pay. The Duo (two meats) is pretty much two full meals for $13.95. Try them!
Went to the Clovis location. The ambiance isn't terrific. Very plain and very small. i have heard much better things about the one in river park. it looks much larger too. when i was here we were the only ones dining in. several came and went. lots of gym goers. But the food was decent. I got the healthy doy. It's half a plate of salad and 2 skewers of chicken. I tried one of each. There is a chicken breast and then a chicken breast with thigh meat. Both were delicious. The salad dressing is very good. Definitely recommend this dish for staying healthy. the salad did have onions in-very small green onions in case you dont like that. the pilaf looked good.
