I ordered the half chicken plate with BBQ sauce and coleslaw. I've always enjoyed their garlic bread, so I was looking forward to that as well. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit bland, and I found myself having to smother it in sauce to add some flavor. The beans were alright, but paired with the coleslaw, it made me think the kitchen might be skimping on seasonings. I understand that recipes can change over time, but the coleslaw used to be a highlight for me when they were located on 80, and I was disappointed with it this time around. Overall, I have to admit that my visit was underwhelming. I know it's a chain restaurant, but since it's locally accessible, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it just didn't meet my expectations.
I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The waitstaff was great, but the food was just okay. Unfortunately, the management left much to be desired. I observed the general manager berating a staff member while I was waiting for my takeout, which was really unprofessional. They didn't seem to exhibit any sense of care or professionalism in their communication. I ended up waiting for 25 minutes for a change with a thin young woman named Kayla. Based on my experience, I can only recommend it for a drive-thru visit.
We enjoyed our eating, the drawn pig was excellent. we have the combo tablets with a few different meats on them, so we can taste the food. we really enjoyed our bbq. service was really good and will be back soon.
Not since having BBQ in my husbands family run place in SC have I found a TRULY GOOD southern BBQ joint. This place is Really Good! We are en route to AL via I20E and happened to drive by a billboard with some DELISH looking ribs; ALL of us being HANGRY we were drawn in!! lol The interior is deco'd really cute w what look like either hickory or mesquite ?? hardwood cuts lining the over hang as you walk into the dining area. A TO GO station is set up near the entry, and Very comfy looking booths in a spacious dining room. The employees ALL greet you as you walk thru and Everyone has a smile on their faces! Even the Restroom was above board with a handicap equipped sink INNNNN the stall!! So the FOOD... we wanted try a lil bit of everything so we got the three meats plate, which came w pulled pork, sliced pork, and ribs. You choose if you want Sweet n Smoky sauced or the dry rub bbq for the ribs, and you get Two sides and a bread choice. We got green beans n Mac n cheese and a corn bread muffin. Then we tried the Smoked Turkey plate and got garlic bread, crinkle cut fries, and a baked Sweet potato. The meats were SO MOIST, SUPER flavorful with not too much of the Smokey flavor that always overwhelms me. The sauce we tried the Sweet house sauce had just a hint of vinegar which we LOVE. Even the breads were Excellent two thick slices of buttery garlicky bread and a sweet little cornbread muffin that was slightly cakey, with perfectly light corn flavor, and Super Moist! The icing on the cake? We got ALL this food for UNDER $30!!! And THREE OF US did NOT finish!! This place definitely offers the ultimate Southern charm as well as that down home BBQ flavor done right! We will be back on our drive back home!!
