My sisters and I ate at Golden Girls last week. We all agreed, the last time we had good old country cooking this delicious, was our mom's cooking, 20 years ago. We had broasted chicken, which we had always called fried chicken. That along with their scrumptious side dishes, yeast rolls and cornbread, left us more than satisfied. Of course, we had to split a slice of coconut cream pie, it did not disappoint.I made a point to tell the manager how happy we were with everything. She told me; the restaurant was started by the Golden sisters. She said they treat all of their employees like family. It was obvious that everyone we encountered working there were happy to be there.

This little gem offers near homemade food with the southern hospitality we always enjoy! Their desserts are AMAZING! And the breasted chicken? As good as Grandma’s. We enjoyed everything about this visit and hope to stop in again next year!
