El Charro Mexican Restaurant Bar And Grill Clifton Texas

I love everything I’ve eaten at El Charro. They offer daily lunch specials, and their beef chili relleno on Thursdays is the best of them all.

We had a great time enjoying the food while catching up with both old and new friends. However, the service left much to be desired, as it seemed poorly managed. There is definitely significant room for improvement. One of the most confusing experiences we encountered occurred on Friday, September 16th, when we were told that there were no clean dishes available, which meant the staff couldn't seat or serve guests at 7:45 PM. Better oversight of the staff is greatly needed.

When she finally returned, she asked my husband about his food, stating that it comes a certain way unless the customer specifies otherwise. If customers don’t say what they want, they just have to guess. After that, she resumed her phone activity instead of checking on us. We asked her for more chips, and she said she would bring them, but she just went back to her phone and never brought the chips. In the end, my husband didn’t get what he ordered, and we had to ask for to-go containers to take the rest of our food home. We spent nearly $100 on our meal, and we definitely will not be returning.

Eating is good. Our waitress didn't even smile or really talked to us. The little lady who brought us our food was nice and the guy who checked us was nice too. Don't come to dinner the waitress. That's why I didn't give 4 5 stars.

The food is good(other than the salsa always being watery) its the waitstaff are whats makes that place horrible. I have been to this place 5 times. It was good when it first opened something happened in 2021 that just made it go down hill fast. The waitstaff does not know the menu, they give you the wrong order and when you tell them that isn't what you order they try to upcharge you for the order. I told them there was no way I was paying the difference because they messed it up. I know things happen but this just keeps happening.
