Freakin' Vegan - Cliffside Park

I discovered a short black hair in my lunch, and then I found an eyelash in my second meal. I was completely appalled by the situation. It’s hard to believe that in a place where the owner serves the food and oversees everything, such issues could happen twice. This experience has left me feeling thoroughly disgusted. I would share a photo, but I can’t bring myself to look at it again. Overall, I am very disappointed.

We recently visited New Jersey and discovered this restaurant. It was easy to place our order online, and the food we received was mostly fantastic. The mac and cheese and buffalo sliders were especially delicious. The meatball dish was good, although the bread was a bit hard. The burger was a decent size, but the patty seemed just a bit off and had an unusual taste. Overall, it was quite pricey for what we got, but I would definitely consider going back!

We had lunch here today while exploring the city, and it was fantastic! It’s definitely the best vegan macaroni and cheese I’ve had in a long time. We ordered the vegan buffalo Chikn Mac, Chikn-Helfer, a sausage pepper onion sub, and an empanada sampler that included cheesesteak, spinach ricotta, breakfast, and broccoli cheddar. The empanadas could have been improved with a more moist filling, but they weren't bad enough to affect my overall rating. They’re definitely worth a try!

As the title suggests, this is my favorite vegan place on this side of the Hudson. The food is consistently delicious. The delivery is always well-packaged and arrives warm.
