Really cool vibe and fun creative cocktails upon request. We couldn't find any servers or hosts during our visit, so we had to venture through the place to find a comfortable seating spot. It wasn't a big deal for us, but I could see it potentiallybeing a turnoff for someone who isn't so inclined.
I wish we lived closer to this restaurant! On our way home from Kennywood, we opted for the 'avoid tolls' route on the GPS and stumbled upon this amazing spot for dinner. The special pizza of the day was Mexican, so I went to the big brick oven to see exactly what toppings were on it since our server was unsure. I watched as a staff member prepared the pizza right in front of me, and it looked so delicious that I immediately ordered one. My dining companion ordered a pierogi appetizer and a chicken entree. I had a bite of the pierogis and they were excellent. I ordered a Royal Gangster cocktail from the menu, but it wasn't very strong. We had a great meal in a unique space and were surprised that the restaurant wasn't more crowded. It was a weeknight after regular dinner hours, but still, I recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed.
The Vault is situated in the basement of the 9/Metropolitan hotels. I previously visited the 9's other bar, Azure Rooftop, last summer and was not impressed.
If you haven't experienced The Tresor yet, you should definitely go! Dress up in your most imaginative party attire and head to The Tresor for a nostalgic 1920s vibe. This bar used to be a bank.
