Tacologist Tacos Tequila Margaritas

The dining experience was quite satisfactory—the food was delightful, the service was attentive, and the ambiance, while decent, left a bit to be desired. However, it's worth noting that the absence of air conditioning made the atmosphere less than ideal, which affected overall comfort.

Went to happy hour with my co worker. I really enjoyed the chicken quesadilla and the strawberry ? margaritas ? we had. The sangria I ordered didn't care for it at all. We had to ask for napkins and silverware the knife was dirty . Service was okay the server wasn't attentive. And the restaurant was empty with a few stragglers here and there.

Looked for a taco experience. When traveling I find it adventurous to try taco establishments and see different takes on a classic street food. So just the name Tacologist seemed to promise what I craved. I started off with a jumbo Fuerte margarita on rocks not frozen. Frozen seems to be their preferred method but the brain freeze is too much and besides it’s sometimes difficult to gauge the tequila in the frozen ones. The grade: well can’t tell because I never received the drink. By the time the omission was recognized I was half way through the tacos so refused it.They offer three taco dinners with lots of appetizing options. In situations like this I have always been able to mix my tacos from the available selection, but not here. I could only choose one taco type for all three. How disappointing. What a opportunity lost. Anyhow I chose the camarones taco on corn tortillas. The menu said the shrimp would be sautéed but I think they were more gently fried. The end result though was a fresh simple slightly spicy taco. Nicely done.Service was slow at best and glacial at worst. To be fair they were obviously understaffed and there were some language barriers (my Spanish isn’t what it used to be).I think this restaurant is trying but only partially succeeds. Everyone was nice enough but they really need to offer opportunity to really experience what they are capable of. And get the drinks to the table…..

Took my main squeeze out to here because of the title. We were both impressed. Not expected at all to get great food, great service, friendly atmosphere.

I came at closing and the staff was still very helpful and provide quick service. I loved loved loved the guacamole. Margarita was strong and delicious. Will return. Thank you!
