La Grande Botte - Clermont-Ferrand

Une vraie table italienne, par des Italiens. Très bonne cuisine authentique à des prix raisonnables. Le seul bémol concerne l'accueil un peu "réservé" à mon goût, mais ça n'empêche pas l'expérience d'être très positive au bilan.

We found this place on Yelp and were so happy we did. The food was excellent. We had the set three course dinner--which was only 17 euros. The house wine was very nice and also very reasonable. The entire bill--for two people--was only 40 euros. A final note--while the dinner was excellent--the dessert was amazing. The best panna cotta I have ever had. And we live in San Francisco, which is known for its excellent Italian food!

Na het beklimmen van enkele vulkanen, besloten mijn vriendin en ik om snel iets lekkers te gaan eten. Dankzij TripAdvisor kwamen we op dit Italiaans restaurant. We namen beide een pizza, deze was zéér lekker. Het had ons beide gesmaakt. Erna wouden we samen voor een dessertje gaan maar de bediening (1 vrouw) merkte ons een half uur lang niet op nadat we klaar waren met eten. Nadat ze ons eindelijk opmerkte hebben we direct de rekening gevraagd.

Located on a the lovely Jules Guesde street, this lovely family (Puglia) run restaurant should be given a try. the food is authentic and tasty and the restaurant is clean, the lasagne is a dish that stood out and so was the pizza. Take away available also.
