Texas Roadhouse - Clermont

I went here for Easter lunch with my family. The rolls they serve our delicious. My family, enjoyed their steaks. I asked for sautéed onions and creamy horseradish dip for my Primerib. I never got the onions. I got auju and horseradish sauce. I didn't want to complain. The primerib was okay. The mashed potatos, which I got plain were delicious and the greenbeans were okay as well. My family all enjoyed their food. Everyone's plate was clean but mine. There was a lot of fat in my primerib. And, I mean a lot. I didn't finish my greenbeans because the flavor was to smokey. I love greenbeans! I was excited to see them on the menue. They were the first thing I started to eat because I love the veggie so much. I did eat a lot of them but didn't finish because of the flavor. After the meal, I was still hungry. That's another first. I will go again to give them another try.

Come on now...if you've been to one or 2 TR's then pretty much the same in any location. It's not a 5 star place which would be upscale and certainly not low scale. Decent food.... abeit expensive though...and the owner knows that already. While waiting for a table, you get into conversations with others and all essentially say the same, nice place to eat or similar but expensive.The cold dish for the salads that is brought to the table is great!Mashed potatoes this time we're a....but dry for some reason. Actually the others at our table...3 had mashed potatoes and were not moist also.The porterhouse was to be.... medium but was well done. No reason to have it redone and wait...kept quiet about it. And of course we will go back to other TR's and eat.

I like this restaurant. Laid back and unpretentious. Food is always good. I sat at the bar on this visit and my only small complaint is I was never offered the traditional bread that you receive at the tables. I could have asked, of course, but got distracted by the Police that were there escorting people to their tables and collecting donations for Special Olympics.

I've always a great steak! Try a loaded sweet potato, yum.
