Clemson Ice Cream '55 Exchange

Rich and velvety... it's among the finest ice cream I've ever tasted!

I really can't think of anything not to love about this place. The service is fantastic, and the ice cream is incredible!

'55 Exchange has limited days and hours of operation, so it’s a good idea to check their schedule before going. While the selection of ice cream flavors is limited, they do rotate. The ice cream is made with milk from Clemson's own dairy cows, similar to their famous Clemson Bleu cheese. Alongside the standard flavors, they offer unique Clemson-inspired options. Tammy enjoyed a hot fudge sundae, Calvin had an orange tiger cream milkshake, and I opted for a waffle cone with two scoops of their gold tiger flavor. The waffle cones are freshly made on-site, and Calvin declared that it was the best shake he’d ever had. I must say, my cone was the best I’ve ever tasted as well. The young ladies working that day did an excellent job keeping the line moving, and they were very friendly. One pleasant surprise was the prices; they are quite reasonable and lower than at many other ice cream shops. If you find yourself in the area and have a craving for ice cream, I highly recommend giving '55 Exchange a try!

I'm trying to go here when I'm in Clemson. The line was long, but it moved pretty well. Always happy to help the students. Ice is good too. They also have blue cheese.

OMG, the lemon custard. Probably my fave icee cream within a 200 mile radius. It's That Good.
