Paul's Chicago Pizza - Clearwater

We visited with a large group, and the staff was very welcoming, assisting us in arranging the tables. Although it's a walk-up-and-order setup at the adjacent restaurant, our server checked in on us. The food arrived at a perfect pace. The pizza was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and there were plenty of options to choose from. The appetizers were also excellent. We enjoyed good food and great conversation, and it was nice to be able to refill our drinks as needed. We'll definitely return when we're in the area!

As for the owner’s response, since I can’t reply directly, I’ll address it here. I’m sorry if my review upset you; it was simply meant to share my experience at your restaurant. It’s disheartening to see how you responded. Given how long you’ve been in business, I expected a more constructive reaction. First of all, why would I drive 17 miles just to speak with a manager? I give every restaurant a fair chance, but after this experience and your response, I’m afraid there won’t be a second. I come from a restaurant background myself, and your reply seems misguided. Yes, food costs have gone up, but that doesn’t justify the price I paid for so little cheese and sausage. I believe in receiving value for what I pay, and unfortunately, that wasn't met here. Perhaps you should visit Giordano's to see how a real Chicago pizza is made. My review stems purely from my experience at your establishment, so it’s not about location. Your customer service needs improvement, and maybe it would be wise to have someone else handle responses. Really, J.R.?

We had dinner before a show at Ruth Eckerd Hall, and it was a fantastic way to kick off our evening! We ordered the thin crust meat pizza with added mushrooms and onions, and everything about it was superb. The toppings were fantastic, the sauce was delicious, and the thin crust was just perfect. If I lived in the area, I wouldn't want to get pizza anywhere else. Highly recommended!

We love Paul's thin crust! I haven't ordered pizza since Paul's Chicago. The standards are great, cheese and pepperoni, etc. But their special pizzas are also brilliant! Chicken Ranch is a favorite. The house Pizza is excellent. Parmasean garlic knots are addicted, so beware!!! We also ordered Paul's for parties and everyone loves it! Ideal because the cross section makes much smaller pieces. Just order!

Ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza over the phone. When I arrived I got a pizza that was super thin crust. I was confused thinking they only sold Chicago deep dish pizza. Spoke to an employee who told me next time when ordering to specify deep dish. They happily remade the pizza for me and it was delicious! First time trying Chicago deep dish and it did not disappoint!
