The seafood itself was okay but no better than places in this area. The sides and care for food allergies was extremely lacking.Mentioned I am gluten-free and the server acknowledged that she would note it to the kitchen. She swung by to served the molasses bread to my Fiancé and mentioned that I could not eat it. Kind of annoying but I get not wanting me to assume it was GF. I mentioned it smelled good but was assured it wasn’t tasty, apparently center was doughy and not fully cooked. If you pressed the center it would stay compressed. When the meal is served my side was missing and my meal had two crummy pieces of garlic bread on top. I removed the bread and de-crumbed the plate.I then asked for my veggie side and was told it needed to be made. I was nearly finished when the saddest cup of wilted overcooked green beans appeared. I tried the corn in the boil and it too was over cooked and mealy.I ordered a drink and the lemonade tasted overly sweet and kind of gritty.Long story short, it was the most disappointing meals I had in Clearwater.I didn’t complain because the thought of the “make it right” conversation was exhausting. If you don’t have food sensitivities it would probably have seemed fine. That said, for the money there are much better places to eat.
Blackened groupers tacos were very tasteful. they don't wait on Wednesday, but still a pretty full house. sweet tee wasn't my favorite. almost only sugary water. the attentive staff.
Excellent food and service just off the main street! Cooter's is located across the ICW from the Freedom Boat Club of Clearwater. We stopped in for a quick snack, and we were not disappointed. The menu features tons of local sea food and more. We tried the blackened alligator bites, which were awesome. Timothy was a great server who seemed to know everyone. I will also add that the Cooter's menu prices are significantly lower than some of the other places one block over. It was worth the walk for such great food!!!
Cute bar that locals seem to love with fresh made sangria, cold beer and friendly service. Grouper cheeks and the crab shrimp dip were good. They have outdoor seating as well.
The waiter was fantastic and the Gumbo was legendary goodness. Don't wait another day to drop in and enjoy these delicious treats. The hot wings were some of the best I've had so far.
