The space is lovely- thoughtfully decorated with tons of natural light and an expansive view. It feels like you're in a rich friend's living room. I got a wine flight and loved that they brought all the wines at once, along with a card bring the flavors in each. The wine was pretty good, there were a few I loved and a few that I didn't care for- pretty standard experience for a tasting! The atmosphere and the red blend will keep me coming back!
While visiting Suncadia, we were looking for a solid option to experience a higher end of dining in the area of Suncadia Cle Elum, and Swiftwater Cellars popped up an option that fulfills all of these checkboxes! We made a reservation at the front desk of the resort, and were luckily able to get a table on a Sunday around 7pm. Parking may be a be rough if the restaurant is busy, as there are few spots at the direct entrance to the restaurant. But there fortunately are more parking spaces if you go a bit more down the road on the left hand side facing the forest. The restaurant itself is hosted in a big and fancy cabin with a fireplace, and was bustling with other customers when we visited. If there are many patreons, service may be a slight drag, but you can always wave your server down when you are ready to order. We got the White Flight and Seasonal Fruit Flatbread, and I got the Chicken Piccata. Which I'll review down below: White Flight: For the White Flight, I would say the 2019 Zeyphr Ridge Chardonnay was my favorite as it had a good hint of honeydew and a subtle sweetness. The 2019 Propriety White was my least favorite as it had an unpleasant bite I don't drink wine often, so these are just my personal opinions. Seasonal Fruit Flatbread $22): A very interesting flavored flatbread! The flatbread was topped with peaches, goat cheese, and pine nuts. It was nice as you get the gaminess of the cheese, earthiness of the pine nuts, and a bit of acidity from the peaches. There also was a slight drizzle of honey and oliver oil over the bread too that was nice. Chicken Piccata $34): This is a tasty entree the chicken was tender, the lemon caper sauce was delicious, and the potatoes were soft and soaked up the chicken fat well. But one thing that I personally wasn't the biggest fan of, was that all entrees on the menu in terms of price started at $32! I do understand that this is a fine dining restaurant, but I have also been to fine dining establishments where you can get a 5 course meal for the price of just the porterhouse steak which was $120). The Piccata was overall good, but I don't think it was worth $34 in my opinion. Overall, I would say that Swiftwater Cellars is a decent option if you are looking for a higher class food in the Cle Elum area. I think that though the food is good, price of the food and better service would bump this up more in my mind. I think it was novel to try of this restaurant when visiting Suncadia, but to each their own.
Food is great! We had the tuna appetizer and the shrimp appetizer, so good! We also had the steak, the fish and the kids had pizza and chicken. We had a sample of the desserts, very yummy! The ginger cake was sooo good!! The view is beautiful, especially if you are near the patio. The restaurant is very loud and it makes it difficult to hear for elderly parents. Maybe more sound proofing would be great! The service was exceptional our waiter was very kind and accommodating. So quick with delivery of our food and drinks! Yum!
Swiftwater cellars is a great place for wine tasting and food in suncadia! Staff are so nice and friendly. The restaurant is also dog friendly. Wine and food are decent. This is also the cutest wedding venue! We looked at booking it for our wedding but it didn't work out. Love coming here!
Service was good, food was average for what they charge. $36 fettuccine come on, that's insanity for noodles. Drinks were good but again expect $20 for $1 worth of booze.
