Waiter we got was amazing and the food tasted great! I got the shrimp burrito, it was so delicious and i finished the whole thing! My mother got shredded chicken fajitas and her bf got shrimp fajitas. They aid they were great, and enjoyed a shrimp cracker dip that was spicy and had cucumbers, i couldn't eat it cus the spice. They said it was good. They had good cheese dip, and salsa. The rice and beans was good too! Again the waiter was amazing, he was helpful and informative, he asked if we neded a spoon for the baby, and helped me get my drink to the right side of the table (I'm very pregnant and alittle clutzy rn) he was even sure to keep the bay safe from he hot food and plates (unlike at some places where they have placed hot plates infront of my baby). It was my first time paying with a card so he helped show me how to do that and how to write on the check (im 23 and usually my husband pays)
My parents met here back in the 90s when it was a club called the red carpet. They said it still looks very similar and brings back a lot of nostalgia. The food is cheap and good. The portion sizes are huge. Staff is cool and works fast. The salsa tastes like pizza sauce but they 'll bring out salsa verde, roja, etc if you ask for it. I 'll definitely come back when I 'm in town.
My family and I love this place. It is our go-to Mexican place. The staff are very friendly abd the good is always delicious. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs, with enough space between table to actually use them.
We’ve been coming to Don Jarro since 2020, and in the past year, service and food quality has really gone down hill. We’ve tried several times, and we’re finally done. Tonight I ordered a pick two combo of menudo and a chicken quesadilla that is supposed to come with chicken that’s cooked with tomato, onion and peppers. It’s the driest quesadilla I’ve ever had. There isn’t a speck of veggies with the meat. It’s also supposed to come with rice and beans, and those were left out. Our last visit, we had to remind the waitress for about half a dozen items that she kept forgetting, and the time before there was a table of women who were all clearly very drunk with their children. They were loud, were cursing, and should never have been served that much ESPECIALLY with children in their care. It was disgusting. We’ve given them enough chances, and things continue to go downhill. Sorry to say, this visit was our last.
