Back room had less. After ordering, we waited just over an hour for our food to arrive. Prime Rib dinner special was very disappointing. Absolutely no taste to the prime rib, very grizzly and was sliced thinner than a lawyer's conscience. Approx. 1/4 inch. Vegetables were so watery...roast potatoes were good. Best thing on the plate was the horseradish. By the time the dinner arrived, that back room was so packed with people, the two servers could not squeeze passed the chairs at the end of our table. Heard several people grumbling about wait time for food. No rolls served with a $23.00 dinner either. Have been to this restaurant twice now and won't be going for a third.
Used to go here years ago and don't remember it being so bad ! went for breakfast with my husband . the place was not busy we got a table right away . the place was clean and staff were good but the food was poor quality. i ordered french toast which was $7-00 and if you wanted meat is was another $2-00 so i did. i received 3 pieces of cheap white thin bread and 1 slice of thin ham !!!! tasteless and very unappealing. My husband got full breakfast which was poor quality, sausages looked dehydrated and eggs were raw. ordered coffee to which we got 1 cup and were not offered refill and it was $2-00 a cup. All in al not impressed won't ever go back and wouldn't recommend it.
Don't be confused by the name. It sounds like this is a high-class joint but in reality it's a small step-up from a family restaurant - paper napkins and place mats,vrun-of-the mill, leaky, metal teapots and a breakfast menu - just like most family restaurants. The menu is good especially if you like Greek. This was our first time without being part of a large group and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was a bit "scruffy", as if they are trying to 'dumb" it down a bit. For example, the hostess dumped us at a table that was still wet and threw one lunch menu and one breakfast menu on the table then disappeared without a word. Then our waitress arrived with a pair of tacky, paper advertising placemats. My wife ordered a Greek dish (with an un-pronouncable name) that comprised rice, phylo bead stuffed with spinach, and fresh vegetables. The waitress then informed my wife that she could have that with mashed potatoes or french fries - that's a real touch of class. Anyway, the food was excellent and my steak was the best I have eaten in years. I almost forgot, the waitress offered to top up our coffee and tea cups with more hot water. So, a good, classy menu, a pleasant, classy atmosphere combined with diner-quality service. Interesting experience.
This is my Sunday Breakfast spot. It is alway great and the service is excellent. We have also had the slouvaki and it fairly good as well. Gus and Karen are excellent hosts and contribute to the community.
We happened on this place by accident, had a pretty decent lunch. Won't set the world on fire, but nice people, good service, pretty good food.
