Nick's German Kitchen

I was taught never to say never, but I will never go back to this restaurant. It is super over priced for the quality of the food. Our table of 5 got 5 different dishes and we tried a bite of each. Not one of us could eat this particular $38 dish special because it was so flavorless, the beef was to extremely dry, and sauce was just awful. My $36 special was not special at all. It was mediocre. The worst meal I have had in months. The beef was dry to the point of deteriorating on the plate and had absolutely no flavor. When brought to the staffs attention, they did not offer to compensate except to bring a new plate when everyone else in our party was already finished and we were trying to leave. The entire menu is extremely over priced for what it is, mediocre food. Excellent food! Loved the salmon and it was cooked perfectly to order!

Super delicious! Everything we've tried so far has been incredibly good. Definitely go hungry…it is filling! Reservations are essential, it's a cozy place.

Absolutely one of the most authentic, friendly dining experiences I have had in the 24 years I have lived in Charleston. Nick and his wife were so incredibly gracious and sharing of their German heritage. They treated everyone like they were part of their family! It was really awesome! I will bring everyone who visits me in Charleston for a special dining experience at Nick’s.
