Przekaż informację zwrotnąIt is a small, simple, family owned restaurant that offered us an excellent meal.We had just left Mona and wanted something quick before we drove north and we couldn't have chosen better. The pho, duck and chicken were all delicious.Just don't expect anything fancy.
My partner and I absolutely loved the Pho and Viet Pancakes so much that we went back 4 times within 3 days. The Pork Crackling was also awesome.
Offering a good selection of inexpensive traditional Vietnamese food. The flavours were beautiful and clean. The menu is a bit confused with Country Fried Chicken (chips, chicken and burgers) but that shouldn't deter you from trying this restaurant. The restaurant is quite small and definitely not a place for a fine dinning or special date!
It is not quite Richmond or Footscay but tonight we ate some Vietnamese food that actually tasted like the Vietnamese food Melbourne people are used to. We only had a quick meal of rice paper rolls, very fresh and tasty. The sauce possibly a bit thick. Then fried Kaoy teow which was delicious and a combination beef pho which although possible a bit light on meat was full of flavour, the cinnamon a very good addition. Now here is the thing, when we got there at 8pm on a Friday night there was only one other person there. If we want places like this to thrive in Hobart we need to back these businesses. There are things missing from our expectations of Vietnamese food like the stacked plates of spring rolls with lettuce and mint and piles of rice paper rolls, tea in a thermos on the table etc. The food is great though and the owners lovely. Claremont is a bit of a drive and the restaurant is a bit out of the way but I think it is well worth making the effort for. Parking is no problem and it you have a large group and you make a booking the restaurant seats about 30 people. As Molly would say "do your self a favour " if you love Vietnamese food.
Visited this restaurant with a group of friends for a lunch. Ordered a banquet for five, and it came out with three main dishes, mixed fried rice and desert at very reasonable price. Black been beef and chicken ‘stood out the most. I separately ordered ‘Banh Mi’ for myself which was very close to what I had in Hoi-An in Vietnam. We’ll l be back again.
