Folks! There's only one line! A word-winning classic flavors as well as seasonal fruits and special crazy mixes. The candy counter is phenomenal. They carry some old-fashioned candies too. The staff is super friendly so bring some cash for the tip jar.

Love coming here! Makes me feel like a kid again. The ice cream taste great. My favorite is Rocky Road. All the candy reminds me of back in the day! Love the fact that they sell candy apples. Can’t get enough of those apples. If you want a place to feel like the good ole days take a trip to Bert Rocky’s in Claremont, CA. You won’t be disappointed!! YUMMY!

My husband and I went to dinner and decided to visit today and we were completely ignored so we said ok we will wait until we are greeted and next no problem I guess, however we stood there for 10 minutes and they seemed to only greet people they knew already? We finally purchased two cones the women scooping our ice cream had zero people skills, she was very short and we tried to joke around to make the situation better but she didn't seem like she cared and just felt rushed.... we come from Huntington Beach and we were very upset on our experience here and I am a strong believer in some of the comments about them being racist because it seemed they only helped there kind of people and not latinos/latinas. We ended up finding a cute place up the street called chocolate bash.Please work on respecting everyone not just people of your same color.

We felt absolutely scammed today. It 's very disappointing because I used to go to this local creamery since I was a kid and have always loved the candy shop vibe and ice cream quality. First of all, prices have increased, which is understandable, but what is NOT is the fact that there are NO SAMPLES to be offered. I don 't know about you but my friend and I don 't actually have a repository of all the possible ice cream flavors stored in our brains since we haven 't gotten around to trying everything. So it makes it really hard to branch out from what you already know, unless your server is spectacular at describing the flavors you ask about; ours was not so spectacular... Can you describe the pineapple coconut ice flavor? me Well that one is pretty self explanatory: pineapple and coconut. serverThis was not a very helpful answer, but can you blame her? Anyone 's ability to verbally distinguish between many of the ice cream flavors is difficult for sure so why is that the default method to communicate what things taste like?Please bring back the samples!Second of all, I typically love getting the half gallon buckets of ice cream so I can share the delicious, soft dessert with the friends and family, but today, that was not the case. We were first told that the ice cream flavor we were looking for did not exist (even when I was staring right at it and my friend was pointing at the ice cream with the exact label we referenced). But finally our order went through: a half gallon of Oreo mint and we were told that will be $15. Some time went by and the server came back saying they didn 't have any half gallon buckets but I can put it in 2 quart sizes instead if that 's ok? No problem, I thought; 2 quarters make a half, so it 's the same amount that I asked for! Oh great! I said. I spoke too soon, however because it was not great. In stretch of time that the server was looking around for half gallon buckets, my friend and I were busying ourselves with looking at other ice cream flavors and wondering what they might possibly taste like (since we were only able to imagine it). So when our server came back and told us the ice cream would just be put into two quart buckets, I was curious: Would it be possible to fill one of those with Oreo mint and the other strawberry shortcake? Oh yeah, I can do that, the server said easily. So some 5 minutes later, the total of a half gallon of ice cream (actually less, because there we many air pockets) made up of two flavors was put in front of me. That will be $25, the server said. Oh okay, here you g wait whAT? How did the price increase $10 since 10 minutes ago when you told me it was $15? me Well the half gallon is $15, but you got 2 quarts which are $12.50 [each] serverWell what my friend and I actually did was *accept* 2 quarts and ask for another flavor and we were definitely not warned in the slightest about the massive up charge. We didn 't order it knowingly. Okay...stressful, but maybe we can sort this out logically? I 'm buying the exact volume of the half gallon... why is it $10 more? me, getting more and more anxious by the minute. With a wave of her hand the server told me that 's just the way it is. My friend ended up hesitantly handing over his card; we weren 't in the mood to argue, the ice cream was already packed, and we had already spent about 15 minutes waiting for our order. But we felt completely bamboozled. Please, B&R, have your workers be transparent about price differences and up charges. And please make the 2 quarts vs half gallon price make more sense. The ice cream was great. I hate that I love it because sadly I don 't think I will be going back. Getting ice cream should make you happy but the nonexistent sampling, ridiculous pricing, and poor service we received put a real damper on everything!

Love this ice cream spot, but left feeling really disappointed on my last visit. I noticed that there were some new flavors that I was curious to try and so I asked if I could sample a flavor. The worker seemed very friendly (older white lady) at first and explained that they currently do not give samples. I was just making conversation and was genuinely curious so I politely asked why. She responded with we used to, but we stopped during COVID, everyone 's favorite and rolled her eyes (whatever that meant lol). And so I picked a couple of flavors and proceeded to check out. When I handed her my card, I said well hopefully you guys are able to bring back samples soon. In the most genuinely nice way. I guess I struck a nerve because she looked at me and said Oh well!! At least it 's just ice cream, right?? People don 't get to sample their full meals. To which I didn 't respond because I was in shock that she even said something so rude and unprofessional. Hopefully her day gets better because clearly she was having a bad one.
