Taberna 21 - Ciudad de Panama Panama

I went to this place with some friends. we ordered a couple of starters and they were fine. when we got our main dish, a paella marinera we were a little surprised how it looked... it looked wonderful. but looks like you're fooling this paella. it was a dry one and there where no signs of fishing. hummer in action missing!

Good food , cool drinks and nice people hanging out at this place ! But it is just one of many places around Via Argentina where you can have decent food and a drink ! So I am not sure you really have to desperately...look for this particular place...

The food at the restaurant was mostly delicious, but the anguilas dish was a disappointment as they turned out to be surimi, not real eels as the waiter had claimed. This information should be clearly stated on the menu. The service was also lacking, with the waitstaff neglecting to refill our drinks or check if we needed anything else. When we requested additional items, they seemed uninterested and left the table a mess. This kind of poor service is unfortunately common in Panama, which is a shame for a country that relies so heavily on tourism. Despite the tasty food, the overall experience was tainted by subpar service, a common issue in Panama.

This restaurant serves up authentic Spanish cuisine in an authentic style. Spanish food is meant to be shared and enjoyed with a great glass of wine. This is a great place to hang out and eat slowly, so long as you have great company of...course. As a good Spanish restaurant should, it's open late which often attracts tourists or expats who want to have a loud beer. If you'd rather have a laid-back evening dine at Taverna 21 earlier in the week. Food is a bit expensive but it's worth it.

With a group of friends and split tapas and paella. It was okay. service was excellent. seats in the open very good.
