Bacchus Wood-fired - City of Troy

Got offered a very unique seating area in a cave like setting. There was chalk to leave your mark on the walls for this specific seating. Alagash Snow Report was a great beer. Garlic bread is a must!

This restaurant is always a delightful experience. The wood-fired pizza, a signature dish, never fails to impress. The pizza oven is truly impressive, designed in the likeness of the Greek god Bacchus, with pizzas sliding in and out of his open mouth. The table service is both friendly and attentive, enhanced by a visit from owner Jim Scully, who is a wonderful person and a fan of everything Troy. The atmosphere strikes a balance between rustic and stylish. It's one of our favorite places to eat, particularly when we're enjoying the various activities downtown that make Troy such a unique and fascinating city.

I enjoyed a fantastic meal this past weekend at Bacchus. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food was outstanding. The garlic bread was tasty, as was the artichoke dip, and the pesto shrimp pizza was exquisite. If you're dining with a larger group, I highly recommend calling ahead to ensure you can secure a table!
