Slate Cafe - City Of Swan

When I visit slate cafe I am impressed everytime. As I am a dog owner I feel that it meets all my expectations and more. To be able to have a beautiful breakfast or a casual coffee and not have to leave my dog at home is perfection. I had bacon and eggs on one a occasion and It was delicious, then I had the famous french toast and this was also amazing! Lots of fresh fruit on my french toast and the presentation was exactly as advertised. I recommend this place 100% if you are looking for a casual cafe that caters for everyone. But in saying that If you are not a dog person I probably would not recommend this cafe for you.

Thank you to all the staff and especially Anh at Slate Cafe. On Sunday we celebrate my furbabies 1st birthday and it could not have been better. Making the reservations and food choices (especially with dietary requirements) was seamless. The service was faultless and the food amazing. I had 30 guests and 15 dogs, all went home happy, full (guests) and tired (dogs). It was nice to have the separated areas in complete view so that the children could play, the dogs could run around and the parents could enjoy their day whilst supervising both. I fully recommend having any event here.

Fabulous place. The owners and staff should be very proud. A fabulous place for kids and animals. The coffee is awesome and the pancakes oh my goodness the best I've ever had. The young lad behind the counter making coffees is such a lovely lad. Always friendly and brilliant with the kids. Definitely 4 star

First visit today. What a great family place. Plenty of room for kids to play and furbabies run. The breakfast was lovely. Coffee good. Will be back very soon. Thank you to all the friendly staff who made our morning great.

My dog is a family member and comes out with us frequently. However there are so few cafes where you can take a woofer, enjoy the surroundings and have a delicious meal, coffee, tea. I was recommended to Slate by a fellow dog owner in February this year, and I have been now on 4 occasions since then. I live a 40km journey south and it is worth the time spent travelling up the Roe Hwy to visit and eat here. The coffee is good the tea made with fresh leaves and not a teabag, and the food a brilliant mix of Vietnamese and Australian..... I try something different every time and have not been disappointed. Yesterdays big spring rolls were divine! My Choc Lab Rolo loves visiting and playing in the doggy area and making new friends, and your breed specific play dates are brilliant. I appreciate that the current roadworks and road closures are a deterrent to passing traffic, but the detour is well worth it. Thanks Slate Cafe. Me and my Rolo will return!
