Is no stars an option? This was probably the worst meal my husband and I have had in a while. Our dishes were so full of breadcrumbs instead of actually flavor. My manicotti was suppose to be three cheese. There was barley a thin layer of cheese. Huge portion with no flavor. Unfortunately everyone around me commented on the terrible food. Not returning. Oh but the bread was pretty good, but still not worth spending money here.
The portions here are enormous, but unfortunately, the food lacks flavor and freshness. My partner ordered manicotti, and it was evident that the filling consisted mainly of 80% breadcrumbs, resembling a cheese loaf rather than a proper dish. The sauce was underseasoned, and the bread served to us was stale. The croutons on my salad were also quite stale, and the mozzarella was low-quality pre-shredded cheese with an anti-caking agent—definitely not acceptable for an Italian restaurant. The highlight of our meal was the ginger ale. This might just be the worst Italian food we’ve ever experienced. I suggest they cut down on portion sizes and focus on using quality ingredients rather than relying on fillers.
My husband chose the Fettuccine Alfredo, while I ordered the Baked Spaghetti Parm with marinara sauce. I appreciated that the marinara was vegetarian, unlike the meat-based tomato sauce. We also added side salads to our meals. The food arrived promptly and was decent. I wouldn’t label it exceptional, but it was certainly satisfying. I enjoy when the cheese on spaghetti parm is slightly crisp from broiling, but unfortunately, this was a bit underdone, though still melty and tasty. My husband's Fettuccine Alfredo was flavorful; however, the sauce was thinner than the thick, creamy version he prefers. Overall, our meals were good. The generous bread and butter basket, our kind server, and the hearty portions of comfort food made for an enjoyable dinner experience.
To start, I have to say the bread and salads were fantastic, as was the service. Unfortunately, the main dishes did not live up to expectations. I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken, but it arrived lukewarm, dry, and appeared to have been sitting out for a while. My wife ordered the Lasagna and while she was adding hot sauce to it, I noticed she looked unhappy with her meal. She said it was cold in the middle and had a texture more akin to a firm piece of quiche, as if it had been frozen or refrigerated for days. She then pointed out that our daughter's angel hair pasta was also overcooked and harder than it should have been. My aunt chimed in, saying her $30 turkey dinner was terrible as well. At that point, I suggested we leave and find somewhere else to eat. We hadn’t planned to say anything until an older gentleman approached us to ask how everything was and if we wanted boxes to take our food to go. We politely declined, and when he asked why, I took the opportunity to share our concerns with him. Unfortunately, he responded with denial and excuses. I told him not to worry about it and that we just wanted the check. I suggested he could either comp the bill and we would tip the waitress, or he could let us pay, and he might read about our experience on Yelp the next day. In the end, he chose not to comp the bill. I’m not certain what they deducted, but our final bill was about $50, which we tipped on and promptly left. It’s safe to say we won’t be returning!
