Mario's Pizza - City of New York

Although the restaurant's appearance may not be very appealing, the pepperoni slices for takeout were fairly priced and quite tasty. I usually prefer a thin crust, but I found this chewier, cheesier pizza to be really enjoyable. I would definitely return when I'm in the mood for a quick slice to go.

Wow! The pizza here truly exceeded my expectations. The endless selection of fresh toppings made the experience even more enjoyable. The prices were fairly reasonable and worth the cost. For instance, the fresh garlic topping was $3. While we could easily buy a bunch of garlic cloves at the grocery store for that price, it was definitely worth it. The pizza arrived promptly, and I will definitely be ordering again (when I can splurge on a large pie for $40).

I was really impressed with the prices! I ordered a hero, a calzone, and a beef patty with cheese, and when I picked up the box, I couldn't believe how heavy it was! I always compare the weight to the price I pay as a good indicator of value. I've paid $40 for boxes that weighed less! The calzone and hero were both massive and packed with filling for the price, and the beef patty was delicious! I just wish this place was located on Long Island!
