The massages were great, and it's wonderful to have a spa retreat in the city. However, I'm not sure if we would return. Considering the prices, there are likely better options available.

She applied a soaking wet sheet mask on my face, and we sat there for about 10 minutes doing nothing but waiting. When the facial concluded, my face was left covered in product that hadn't been thoroughly absorbed, and the sunscreen was pilling up. When I went to the front desk to check the price, I was shocked to find it was $240! Since I was attending a bachelorette party, I decided to reach out later by email to express my dissatisfaction. After receiving no reply, I called two days later and was told, “We’ve forwarded your complaint to our manager, but it's Monday, so they need time to investigate.” When they finally responded via email, they essentially placed the blame on me, claiming I must have misheard since they wouldn't quote that price. They offered me a 20% discount and stated they had been waiting for me that day to discuss my concerns, which was not true. I replied, explaining that I didn't find the discount acceptable and felt I should only be charged the original price I booked, as I was upgraded without any notice. There was no response. The next day, I called again and was told the person I spoke with wasn't the "real manager," but they would escalate my complaint to the esthetician manager. Again, no response. I called back later to speak with the original manager, who continued to blame me, offered a mere $50 refund, and insisted there was nothing more they could do. In conclusion, this place feels like a scam.

There is a nice selection of teas and snacks available by the pool, which is a pleasant touch. I wish there were more products in the changing room, but it wasn’t a major issue. On my second visit, I had a deep cleansing facial and it was excellent. The therapist was very knowledgeable and attentive. While I would definitely return for the treatments, I would prefer to seek other places for the facilities.

I have been here twice. The facilities are nice and relaxing and I think $79 is a good deal for a spa in Manhattan. However, on June 11 2023 I was here was with my mom and mother-in-law the day before my wedding. My mother-in-law contracted pseudomonas aeruginosa (hot tub folliculitis) from the spa. She has been in a lot of pain and fighting the infection for weeks. Their water is contaminated with bacteria and viruses. They need to drain the spa immediately and clean everything. Here are photos of us at the spa just to prove we were patrons in case the spa tries to dispute this review with google.

Best masseuses around! Great amenities (sauna, warm and cold pools). I have never had a bad massage here!
