Honestly there are many places that are busy but operate at a higher level. ULTIMATELY we are here to review the food and the food is really good and really cheap. Must get fried or steamed dumplings, the spring rolls have an amazing crackling crunch and the scallion pancake cut into a pizza shop are allamazing.
This place is amazing. Hand made dumplings, for 4 dollars! And they are exactly how you want them, super greasy and delicious! Can be a line as it is a small shop with very limited seating, but worth it if you can manage to wait.
Charging .25 for the sauce to-go when it should come with at least one? I can get my dumplings elsewhere. If you must take out, I suggest bringing your own sauce container.
It's hard to really complain about an entire meal for $4, and I won't (much). My only critique is that since the dumplings are being served out of a warmer, they may want to just focus on steamed dumplings, because fried dumplings that have been hanging out in a warmer get kind of gummy, especially thick-skinned ones like these. Most of the options they offer ARE steamed, and maybe that's good for people on the go, but the fried ones should be cooked fresh, I think. However, I really enjoy their pork and chive filling, and the accompanying sauce has a kick to it. The flavor is pretty much perfect. The texture isn't so much offputting as just not ideal. I still liked my meal and was very grateful for it after a long day of travel.
Great dumplings! I think this is one of the better dumplings out there. There's a good meat to dough ratio. Service is your usual efficient Chinatown service. Takeout and cash only.Theres no seating, but luckily there are parks nearby
