We went on Father 's Day as I had a birthday coupon for one free dinner which the waitress said she couldn 't honor because they had a Father 's Day dinner going. She then disappeared pretty much for the rest of our meal. The food well, the salad bar was a disaster... dried out, ordinary olives, so so gourmet salads, and hardly any of the options they list on their menu were available. The prime rib was overcooked and dry, the lamb claimed it was marinated in mint and wine but there was no indication of that, the bacon wrapped chicken had no bacon flavor whatsoever, the grilled fish was overly soft and a bit fishy, the spicy chicken had no heat at all and tasted like it was coated in a store bought marinade, and the chimichurri steak which should have been their specialty) had no taste at all. The one and only courses we could recommend would be the garlic chicken or the grilled pineapple. The noise level also didn 't help at all as we could barely hear our waitress, and we often had to ask the gauchos two or three times what they were offering at the table. All in all, we won 't be coming back any time soon :
We had reservations for a Saturday night dinner at 7:15 pm, we arrived 15 minutes early and was seated right away. It was fairly busy a a bit loud, but manageable for our party of 8. We did have to wait a bit for our server to come to our table, maybe 15 mins to take our drink orders. Our server was nice, but seemed a bit tired and may have had a busy shift. The food was amazing, this was our first Brazilian restaurant since we moved here from Las Vegas, and I had doubts that Rodizios would be able to keep up. I was pleasantly impressed with the food and selection on meats and timely arrival of selections. Drinks were good with one minor error, but was fixed promptly. Deserts, even not really needed were fantastic. Overall a good dining experience for the cost, I would highly recommend Rodizios to anyone.
The fathers day holiday menu, was not worth the price warranted. The brisket was dry as jerky, the chimmi churi steak was alright, and the ribs were very bland. Additionally comparing competitor Brazilian steakhouses in the Minneapolis metro, most include desert at nearly $8 less for dinner price. Our server seemed very rude and short.
For the price I thought there would be more seafood options--the whitefish was excellent however but it was the only option. Would've liked to see some shrimp at least. The steak was a bit tough but the salad bar was great! We sat in the side room and it was very quiet but dead-only 2 tables in there on Friday night. Overall it was a fun experience for my parents but probably wont be going back.
My family and I have been going to and enjoy Rodizios for years. The last few times we've been there it seems to be going downhill. Last night a number of the hot salad bar items were served luke warm. The quality and variety of the meats served was limited. No chicken hearts and a limited variety of beef. We had servers pass by our table twice without stopping at our table to offer their choices. We waited 10 minutes before anyone even approached our table to offer food. This used to be our favorite go to place for special occasions but I doubt we will be returning.
