I have been a regular customer here for years, but last night was a complete disaster. The mixed selection starter was supposed to have chicken, but it seemed like some kind of processed meat. The table was sticky and dirty, the beer was warm, and the main course (baby chicken) seemed to have been reheated multiple times. The chicken was tough and tasteless, and the sauce was unpleasant. The only saving grace was the sticky rice. The only waiter, who appeared to be in his 70s, took ages to bring us the bill, which we really didn't feel like paying after such a disappointing meal. It's such a shame that the quality has gone downhill like this.
Authentic Thai cuisine. This family-style restaurant serves amazing Thai food that rivals what you would find in Thailand. The prices are very reasonable too!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. It was my first time there and it was a pleasant surprise before going to the theatre. I tried the chicken in garlic chili oil, which they make in house, and it had a wonderful and unique slightly burnt chili taste. I also had the Pad Thai Gung, which had subtle Thai flavoring. I ordered a bottle of house wine and the bill came out to less than 30 pounds. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
Don't judge an apple.... It may not look much, but it delivers on the quality, freshness, value and flavour of the food. Have been here 4 or 5 times including holding a birthday party here for 20 and many friends have since returned. Staff are wonderfully friendly. Excellent massaman beef curry on a couple of occasions and well executed pad thai when rushing through one Saturday lunchtime. Have had one duff meal when my thai beef salad, as vibrant tasty as it was laced with lime juice and fish sauce, was off the scale in terms of my chilli tolerance.
My favourite Thai in London. This place is a real find. Just off Wardour Street, but without the Soho prices. Everyone I've ever taken here has loved it, including vegetarians. Long, extensive menu, and everythng is good. Very friendly owners too. Booking is a must at busy times.
