Notes - City of London,Westminster

I was the only customer and there were four members of staff. It took about 2 mins. before anyone acknowledged me and took my order (a skinny latte to takeaway), although sadly there was no hello, please or thank you.. It then took about 4 mins of me waiting before I realised none of the staff had started preparing the coffee. After one of the staff members noticed me looking, he started to make the coffee, which he then plonked in front of me without a word. The coffee was very small, about half the size of what you would get at most other coffee shops and although the cup was full and for takeaway, no lid was given. The taste of the coffee was fine but it was only lukewarm and although I had asked for a skinny latte it tasted like it had been made with whole milk. It cost £3 for takeaway or £3.20 to drink in. It costs nothing to welcome your customers with an hello and use please and thank you, or at least pretend to show some interest in serving your customers. Unfortunately, there was none of that here at Notes and I was made to feel unwelcome. For that reason I could not recommend Notes and will not be returning.

Went there twice in one day for coffee and even though there was different baristas the coffee was consistent between them.

Lovely coffea and super friendly staff. I Will defnainatly be coming back for some more of that wonderful coffea. 10/10.

Notes does very good coffee and the various concoctions are prepared with skill and care. However, it is quite pretentious.

Nice little corner at the Cross rail place in Canary Wharf. Had a birthday do with colleagues. Worked out a deal with the manager that includes wine, beer, some bites. Good if you don't like big noisy place.
