Stumbled across this pub tucked away from the main streets. It is quite a charming place and the open fire creates a special and comfortable atmosphere. We had the vegetable pie and the fish and chips. The pie was perfect whilst the fish and chips were of a very generous tasty portion. They also serve a great range of drinks here.

Though this place is billed as a gastro-pub, this venue is clearly more popular for alcohol than food. Nevertheless the food is really good. We had an assortment of starters and tried the Steak and Ale pie, and the Sausage and Mash pies. <br/ <br/ The pies were really good. Didn’t get around to dessert as the kitchen had closed by then. Ambiance is cosy, and service is friendly.

One of London's top historical pubs, tucked away in a lane way of covent gardens preserving its original charm throughout generations since 1772. This is a multi-level pub where the party goes on downstairs and dinning upstairs. The interior is dark with cozy art-deco look- brown leather, dark wood and green fabrics. <br/ <br/ The staff are stunning, just down to earth, genuine, efficient and so friendly!!!! I loved this authentic British quality when visiting London and it is at its highest at Lamb and Flag!! <br/ <br/ .. As it was a Sunday and our last day in London, we ordered the traditional Sunday roast: perfectly cooked beef with a thin consistency gravy, roast potatoes and veggies with the best Yorkshire pudding (crispy, light and perfect chewiness). What a hearty, warming, satisfying and authentic meal!.. Dessert was the traditional toffee pudding (also a British specialty): the pudding was lightly spongy and dense, the toffee sauce was sticky, warm, smooth and rich contrasting with the creamy vanilla ice-cream -the most pleasurable experience scorching all my senses with the contrasting flavors, temperatures and textures!!.. What a way to end my journey in this majestic and historical city!!!
