However, I was disappointed to find that there was no butter on the naan bread. When I asked the waiter about it, he went to check with the staff at the front counter. Unfortunately, the person behind the counter shouted at the waiter in a very unprofessional manner. The waiter returned and informed me that they charge an extra 50p to add butter to the naan. I couldn't believe that this was the only restaurant in the world that doesn't include butter on their naan bread. Overall, the experience would have been a 5-star one if this issue had not occurred.
I used to really enjoy Himalayas until the last year I’ve given it the benefit of the doubt multiple times but there is always hair deeply embedded in the kebabs, long dirty black hair. Someone needs to shut down this dirty shameless shop no hygiene whatsoever. Me and my friends currently all have food poisoning when we just wanted to break our fasts. Don’t go to this shop!!!!!!!! Ergh
I went a few days ago after my go to restaurant was booked out for the evening and we needed something quick as it was nearly the end of fasting. We ordered a butter chicken and Chana curry both had no flavour at all! The tasted like it had been boiled and then added to the sauce. My daughter ordered a ‘gourmet’ burger which was the cheapest minced chicken nonsense she’d ever had. It was vile. We ordered pakora’s (onion bhaji’s) which had no flavour either. The chicken kebabs tasted stale. Advice do not step into this place. No taste, no flavour and disgusting food!
I bought a takeaway for iftar of large Chicken Jalfrezi, 5 naans and 3 chicken seekh kebabs at a cost of £16. The seekh kebabs were ok but the Jalfrezi tasted extremely bland with no flavour, literally it tasted of nothing. I have ate inside in the past year 2 3 times and it tasted good, but now the food just tastes really bad. Maybe when you eat inside they heat the dish in a pan and add Garam masala and mix it, the dish taste’s ok but when you order a takeaway they just put the curry from the open fridge at the front window in a takeaway container and pack it, (even then it shows you that the food is not an authentic curry dish rather just cooked chicken in a tomato gravy with spices added right at the end when people order literally a microwave curry from Tesco tastes better. Not impressed at all standards have really gone down. Also the tv screens above the fridge have so much fat and dust on it really looks disgusting. There is no more good places to eat it green st left (no more authentic food just stuff tossed together) I had to add siracha sauce to the Jalfrezi so I could eat it. Meaning if Jalfrezi is (Jal hot, frezi fry) what I ate did not live up to its name. If you ever order a takeaway tell them to put it on the tawa and recook it. Only if you have no choice, With the prices they are charging I don’t know why we should be telling them this.
This was the worst food I have eaten so far. It wasn’t fresh and the chicken kebabs and Lamb chops were rubbish. The biryani was cold and had no taste. The price we paid for the food was definitely not worth it. Kids didn’t eat anything at all. They take too much time to bring the food to the table and the service was really bad. I do not recommend this restaurant to Anyone to go and waste their money there.
