Daisy Green Of Portman Village

I really don’t know how I’ve only just discovered this, but there’s a cosy cafe in Marylebone dishing up an Aussie-style brunch (almost) all day, every day…. Not quite hidden but such a gem, Daisy Green sits pretty on a corner of Seymour Street in the heart of Portman Village.

At 9am the lights were off and we were told by a flustered waiter that we'd have to wait upstairs for another 10mins before she was opened downstairs (where apparently we needed to be to get some breakfast). Too bad it was a nice day outside it was hot and stuffy downstairs anyhow. Not a great experience at all after such great reviews.

We went as a group of friends for bottomless brunch. Included is 2 full sized dishes (which is unusual for bottomless brunches) and prosecco. We were served relatively quickly despite how busy it was. Our glasses were regularly topped up without having to ask. The food was tasty, especially the healthy start, sweetcorn fritters and peach melba french toast. The blueberry pancake portion size was quite small, so wouldn't recommend that dish unless you're not that hungry. Overall, it's great value for money.

Pleasant little lunch cafe that serves great food, smoothies, cakes and more. This was our first visit but we’ll certainly come again.
