She has a dairy allergy and they were able to accommodate these needs by bringing her out a separately prepared bowl of steamed white rice due to their being butter in the fried rice. However, they did bring her out fried ice cream as her birthday treat which she could not eat, but she didn't mind. Our chef wasn't as enthusiastic as previous chefs, but he made great food regardless. Tokyo has such a nice atmosphere; it's very spacious and breathable, you never feel like you're on top of someone else. It's great for large parties, or if you're just looking to get some sushi and fusion dishes. It was an overall great dining experience and I will be back for more!
Went here for the first time and only time tonight. Hubs and I came here for the all you can eat sushi which is 23.00 per person. The options for all you can eat are pretty good, a wide assortment of items from both the sushi bar and kitchen. The quality of food was not good. I was looking forward to this all week as a birthday treat and I could barely finish my food. It's like the quality of sushi you get at the supermarket, and I'm not talking Wegman's. Wegman's sushi is better than this. Beware for the bill, they add about 18% tip automatically to your bill. I look over my bill but hubs doesn't and he totally would've added tip on top of that. I get adding tips to larger parties automatically, but for a party of 2? The prices for drinks are ridiculous. There were large parties coming in for hibachi, so maybe that's good? But I wouldn't go back to try.
It's not too often that you find Rangoons at a hibachi restaurant, served with a side of sweet and sour sauce I was pleasantly surprised. Solid crunch and great triangle presentation. Sad to see this place closed down. Some of the best Goons in Ithaca. Goon Quality: 5.7/10 Goon Guy 1 A great looking goon with an even better taste. Mix this little treat with some duck sauce and you have yourself one of the best apps in Ithaca. Sad to see such an amazing goon establishment close, but am excited to venture beyond Ithaca in search of one similar. Goon Quality 6.1/10 Goon Guy 2 Overall GQ: 5.9
A fantastic return. Love how it 's located in a plaza so parking is a breeze. We were greeted by a friendly face and we were immediately seated. We started with the gyoza which were spectacular. Soft and tender, accompanied with a good sauce. Then a handful of nigiri we ordered. From octopus, scallop, squid, mackerel, albacore tuna, smoked salmon, striped sea bass, yellow-tail, salmon and tuna. Each piece was molded beautifully, and each fish on top was generous. The squid, albacore tuna, and yellow-tail were the highlights although each piece was delicious. We then ordered the Rock 'N Roll roll, and this was presented nicely, and tasted great. The seafood yaki udon was flavoured nicely and wasn 't overly salty. Generous amounts of seafood and several big prawns. The steak teriyaki was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to the perfect requested medium and absolutely tender. This is our go to Japanese restaurant in Ithaca when we 'll visiting Cornell. Definitely will continue to visit and recommend.
This is a very nice restaurant with great food and very good staff. We have been there twice, and the service was very good. the food is primo and the owner surprised us with a fruit desert on the house. Our last visit was yesterday evening and the service was even better! The staff was friendly and attentive. We were even surprised when we were presented with miso soup on the house. This is a very special Asian Fusion restaurant. Highly recommended. Chuck Carmen
