I paid about £3 for a vodka and lemonade, so pretty average really. The atmosphere is good. I've been here twice, both for a short amount of time before shows but each time I have enjoyed a drink in the bustling bar and left happy. The decor is fresh and modern, nothing spectacular but definitely up with the times. Good wee bar which I'll be going back to for a few drinks before a show next week!
I tend to go here on the quiter nights Which is usually a Sunday. If you like wild partys with no room to move go on a Friday or a Saturday by all means. This palce sells brilaint pints with some of the best beers.
The place has a somewhat worn-out vibe and could use some revitalization, but it was clean and featured a nice sound system. The drinks were quite affordable, and the staff was really accommodating—one even helped charge a friend's phone behind the bar for them! I'd definitely consider coming back; the atmosphere was enjoyable, with a lively buzz and lots of fun in the air. The highlights include the friendly bar staff, the warmth of the patrons, and the low drink prices. On the downside, the toilets are located down a back staircase, which can be a bit dangerous if you're tipsy, and the alcohol selection could be improved. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a late-night stop to stock up before heading to your final destination for the night.
I visited this pub with my partner while on our anniversary tour of Scotland, and I have to say it’s the friendliest place we’ve encountered in Edinburgh so far. We arrived early on a Saturday night and decided to stop by after finding it online among gay-friendly pubs. We were really impressed with the bartenders and the affordable beer prices, and we plan to return before we leave the country. The crowd had a great mix of people of different ages, and the staff were very welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, we had a fantastic time—aside from one overly intoxicated patron, but that’s to be expected sometimes!
I visited Cafe Habana once while heading to the Club Below Stairs down Leith Walk. The pub has a vibrant and lively atmosphere, featuring upbeat music, modern decor, and a bustling crowd. The service was quick and friendly, and the layout made it easy to see the available drinks and their prices. The drink prices are fairly standard, with bottles of beer at £1.90 and double spirits with mixers for £3. We stopped in for just one drink, but we left feeling impressed by the pub’s atmosphere and arrangement. Located right across from the Omni Centre and Edinburgh Playhouse, Cafe Habana is a perfect spot for a drink after a show or before heading to Mood. Additionally, they host various entertainment options, including big screens for sports events and their own karaoke night. While Cafe Habana may not be the cheapest option, its prime location and diverse offerings make it appealing to a wide range of patrons.
