Fishtales Hideaway - City of Batavia

They attempted to impose a hefty surcharge for making a reservation for 14 people for dinner and drinks. Absolutely not! I will never return. I’m not aware of any other restaurant in Batavia that does something like this.

I was really disappointed with our experience while trying to organize a dinner for 14 people at a restaurant we used to enjoy before the pandemic. They informed us that they typically charge a $75 party fee, but they would reduce it to $50 for us. We decided to decline and take our business elsewhere to a place that doesn’t impose extra charges for group gatherings.

We liked the quaint area to eat in past bar. Food tasty, good selection for all. Service was attentive and friendly. Portions adequate. Great place for dinner. Will be back!

I was very disappointed. I had heard that the fish was amazing, but I wouldn't even go so far as to say it was good.
